After our stay at the Amazon Shelter, we headed even deeper into the rainforest to spend some time with Junglekeepers at Alta Sanctuary. Our journey began by car, then continued by boat upriver into the Amazon. The whole trip took us about three hours to reach our final destination, getting really remote in the jungle. In January 2026, I had the opportunity to return to the Amazon rainforest for the third time. This journey was especially meaningful because I was able to share it with someone very special—my 14-year-old son, Filip.
